MK-300

The Marksman MK-300 by Millennium Signatures is essentially our MH-80 Marking Head with a built-in controller allowing for the plugin of a mini-keyboard, RS-323 and a remote Start/Stop interface making it attractive to many because it is more compact, easily made portable and it is fully functional without the need for a PC. This model has a marking field size of 90mm (X) x 75mm (Y) or 3.54” (X) x 2.95” (Y) and is equipped with a protective steel enclosure complete with integrated LCD Screen for viewing the machine status and editing of variable information. The Model MK-300 is traditionally sold as a complete Bench Top Marking Kit supplied complete with a Base and Column. The standard package includes our T-300 Manual Adjustable Base + Column but can be also mounted on our T-300H (Heavy Duty) or T-500 Extended Height Base & Column set-ups.

The MK-300 Marking System is designed with an accordion style nylon bellow design allowing for continuous industrial use while greatly minimizing the entry of dust and debris into the marking head. It is fully compatible with our entire range of Marking Stylus Assemblies including the LP-06, PH-16, LP-10, LP-15, HLP-10, and the LP10P.

As with our entire line of Marksman Computerized Dot Peen Marking Systems and Scribers, the Model MK-300 System is a robust and cost-effective method to achieve a high-quality permanent marking on plastics and metals, even hardened steels up to 62RC. The MK-300 Marking Systems does NOT support operation with the CDC-20 Rotary Axis & Slide Assembly for Circumferential Marking applications.

MK-300L

The MK-300L System could best be described as our entry level machine at least in terms of price. In fact, the quality does not differ from our more expensive machines, but the system does have one requirement over any of our other models, the MK-300L requires a PC. That is the only significant difference between the MK-300L and the MK-300 or any of our other models.

Given that the Marking Head does not support Stand-Alone operation the system is less expensive and is often a great opportunity for those with a limited budget or who prefer to interface their system through a PC or connect to a network. The MK-300L is our starting price point and offers exceptional value for the money or a great way to get started if you are NEW to using this marking technology. The MK-300L offers a 90mm x 75mm Marking Field and all the same great features as the other models including LINEAR, RADIAL, CIRCUMFERENTIAL, 2D CODES, and LOGOS. The MK-300L does not support the CDC-20 Positive Locating Rotary Axis Slide or Fixed Rotary Axis options.

Scribing

MH-SI85

The Model MH-SI85 is the smallest of our three (3) Scribers (Scratch Marking Technology). The Scratch Marking Technology delivers a precise scratch or drop & drag type of marking on metal components. The greatest benefit to using the scribing technology over our Dot Peen (Impact) Marking process is likely sound. The Scribing Systems have proven to produce less noise and deliver a marking that has more of a precision engraved appearance. Average marking depths in steel are 0.3mm or 0.012” and possibly as deep as 0.5mm or 0.020” in Aluminum.

Equipped with a marking area of 80mm (3.15”) x 50mm (1.97”) and is ideal for marking nameplates, or pretty much any flat components including Automotive Chassis’ as the sound on the tubular material is considerably less with the Scratch Marking Technique over having a stylus strike the material as is the case with Conventional Dot Peen Marking Processes. These robust pieces of equipment are driven by a precision ball screw mechanism which delivers both strength and precision.

Specifications:
- Marking Area 80mm (X) x 50mm (Y) or 3.15” (X) x 1.97” (Y)
- Unique Head Design with extremely minimal number of moving parts
- Dimensions: 22.0cm width (8.66”) x 16.5cm length (6.22”) x 17.5cm Height (6.89”)
- Marking Head Weight – 8 kg or (17.2 lbs)
- Equipped with a Pneumatic (Air) Driven Solenoid
- Air pressure requirements 3.5 MPa (30.0 psi) to 5MPa (72.5 psi)
- Typically supplied standard with the SP-03 Extra Heavy Duty Marking Stylus Assembly
- Supplied complete with Mini-Keyboard, Start/Stop/Reset Remote Interface Box
- Recommended to be driven using the MCU-100N which supports full Stand-Alone operation (no requirement for PC), however, these controllers are supplied with cabling and software allowing it to connect and controlled through a PC. This also allows you to access databases such as Microsoft Excel and backup data files.
- Electrical Requirements: 115V or 230V, 50/60 Hz
