Millennium Signatures Marking Systems Inc. has an extensive history of selling and supporting Part Marking Technologies or Traceability Systems to the Manufacturing sector going back as far as 1972. Despite that its principal business is to sell, integrate and support the various methods of marking, we also have a very successful Custom Part Marking Division which has been servicing hundreds of clients for almost 15 years now. We have taken our extensive knowledge of Part Marking practices and our impressive range of equipment and made our services open to any clients who do not wish to invest in the technology for one reason or another or who wish to essentially get their products out onto the field and trial the marking results before committing to a process. ADVANTAGES

If you send your parts to Millennium Signatures Marking Systems for processing, we will design proper fixturing that will positively locate and secure your part during the marking process. We will create layouts and programs allowing the chosen technology to execute the marking sequence properly and we will always provide First Article Samples or detailed photos to the client before proceeding with marking a batch of their parts. You can pay us to mark a single batch of your parts or you can bring us batches of parts for marking for years and years. When you’re ready to make a purchase, Millennium Signatures will not only outfit you with the proven hardware selection we use to process your parts, but we will bring our NEW equipment to your facility, install it and train your operators. The beautiful thing is that we will hand over all the fixtures, programs, layouts, stencils, artwork or any other production aids that we used to mark your parts, so you are now instantly in production. You will have absolutely everything you need to make the perfect impression from the time we walk out of your facility. Going about it in this way allows you to get the marking you need to be done (by professionals), it allows you to see and experience the results before committing to any significant cash outlay and there is never any expectation of an equipment purchase. PROCESSES

RECOMMENDATIONS

It is strongly recommended that if you are having us process your parts for the first time, that you provide us with extra parts, scrap parts or spares. It is always best to have an actual part that we can set-up and test with before starting to run production on a good batch of parts. If a spare part is not available, it is quite possible we can still get you a perfect marking from the start, but a close second would be to get a sample piece of the very same material and surface condition as the actual parts we would be expected to mark.

If absolutely nothing is available, it is likely with our expertise that we can still get you a highly acceptable marking the first time, but it’s a much more challenging task for us and it may take longer or the first part or first few parts of that batch may be less than ideal before we manage to dial the settings in just right to secure a perfect marking for all the rest. There is no other alternative, however with all that we see on any given day our chances of getting a highly acceptable mark is much better than for most anyone else.

POLICIES

We often see hundreds and sometimes thousands of parts processed in our facilities each day. We have an unbelievable record for accuracy and acceptability among our clients, but things can happen for a multitude of reasons ranging from very confusing instructions from clients to inconsistencies in the product to hardware/software failures and on occasion even human error. We have created a process whereby we evaluate the client’s job, we review the materials sent. We prepare a sample and we either send the sample to the client for an approval (if time permits) or in most cases, we are asked to take good quality close-up images of the marking results and transmit them electronically to our clients for review and approval before proceeding onto multiple parts. If an error takes place that is deemed to be the fault of Millennium Signatures Marking Systems role in the processing of parts, Millennium Signatures limits its liability to the cost of remarking parts only. Millennium Signatures Marking Systems Inc. is to be in no way held responsible for the costs associated with removal of unwanted markings, recoating, reworking or replacement of customer supplied parts. There is simply too many variables and an extreme range of different products and circumstances for Millennium Signatures to take on such responsibility. Given, such circumstances, our team takes our responsibility very seriously and treats all customer supplied components with the highest levels of care and consideration.

PACKAGING & HANDLING

Please consider that we appreciate that expensive parts that are time-consuming to produce need to be protected and need to be transported carefully. Out of respect to our clients, we go through a series of procedures to ensure that our client supplied products are handled in such a manner that accidental dropping or scratching etc. is minimized if not eliminated. Our processes include handling the part as little as possible, working over anti-fatigue matting on floors and workbenches to cushion any unexpected impacts. We take the parts from any protective packaging, mark the part to specification and return immediately to the same packaged state they are received unless instructed in writing to do otherwise. Our fixturing is custom made on-site out of Plastics, Acrylics and Nylons to prevent scratching or scuffing of parts while being processed. We even wear gloves and can use a lint-free microfibre polishing cloths to clean up parts of any fingerprints if they are decorative parts such as chrome fixtures etc.
